My name is Tim Robertson and I am a knifemaker and father to 3 boys. I was born and raised in the small town of Thackerville, OK, where I still live today. I started making knives about 17 years ago, when someone told me I couldn’t make a slip joint. Whether you want to call it perseverance, persistence, or just plain stubbornness, I did it. It wasn’t the prettiest thing ever created, but it functioned and I knew I could build it better with the next one. I was self-taught until about 3 years ago when I was introduced to another maker who introduced me to the knife community. Since then, I have been helped by countless knife makers, many of which I’m proud to call close friends. I am currently a part-time maker, and hold a full-time job. I build traditional slip joints and prefer using natural handle materials. My goal is to build the best knife that I can build, and to make the next knife better and cleaner that my last knife.
